Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical engineering is a discipline that applies the principles of engineering, physics, engineering mathematics and materials science to the design, analysis, construction and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is one of the oldest and most extensive branches of engineering. Mechanical engineering requires an understanding of core disciplines such as mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, and electricity. In addition to these core principles, mechanical engineers use tools such as computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) and product life cycle management to design and develop manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, and heating and cooling systems and analyze. Transportation systems, airplanes, ships, robotics, medical equipment, weapons.
